The power of the big band meets spoken word and poetry when Bohuslän Big Band goes on tour this autumn together with poet and performer Daniel Boyacioglu and jazz pianist Mathias Landæus! The tour is titled “This Time” and will stop in Vara, Lund, Linköping, Gothenburg, Upplands Väsby and Stockholm.

Bohuslän Big Band has won the “Readers’ Choice” award for the album Shades of Gil Evans, one of the most prestigious jazz prizes in Sweden, presented by OrkesterJournalen since 1954.

Report from the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles
Last Sunday, the Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles. Bohuslän Big Band and Danilo Pérez were nominated in the category Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for the album “Lumen.” They didn’t win a Grammy, but being nominated and getting to take part in the epicenter of the music industry has truly been a victory in itself.
