Linus Lindblom

Born in 1977 and raised in Kilafors in southern Hälsingland in Sweden. Linus Lindblom started playing drums at the age of 8, but later found his way to the saxophone. He was educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied the performance program.
Three questions for Linus Lindblom
What are your musical inspirations?
– I draw my musical inspiration from, among others, Charlie Parker, MF Doom, Béla Bartók, Joni Mitchell, Igor Stravinsky and Wayne Shorter.
How long have you been playing with Bohuslän Big Band?
I’ve been playing in the band since January 2022.
What is your best memory with Bohuslän Big Band?
– My best memory with the big band is the tour and the recording we did with Danilo Pérez.
