Göran Kroon
Rhythm section – drums
Born in 1966 and raised in Växjö in Småland, Sweden. Göran Kroon started playing drums at the age of 9 in the marching band. He was educated at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where he completed the performance program with a classical focus. Today he also teaches at the Academy of Music and Drama.

What are your musical inspirations?
– I’m inspired by all good music.
How long have you played with Bohuslän Big Band?
“I’ve played in Bohuslän Big Band for over 25 years. First as a freelance musician from 1996 and as a full-time employee from 2004.”
What is your best memory with Bohuslän Big Band?
– My best memory with Bohuslän Big Band is the concert the big band did with Carla Bley and Steve Swallow in Germany in 2013.
