Tomorrow's jazz stars meet Bohuslän Big Band
Up & Coming Jazz Talents is a project where Bohuslän Big Band meets young, sharp jazz musicians. Together we play music chosen by the talents, and the project results in joint concerts. The project was launched in 2013 and returns every year.
The meeting between the band and the young musicians creates new musical exchanges and also opportunities for future collaboration. Several of the young musicians we have previously played with in the project have either returned as guest artists or substitutes in the big band.
Digital concert
Due to the restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, the audience could not come to the concert venues to attend the concert. To carry out the project, the concert was instead recorded to be shown digitally. The concert was recorded at Vara Konserthus in the Sparbanken Blackbox in May 2021.
